German Shepherd

  

This special little man has just arrived into our kennels as he is closely
related to Wootton Alaska CDX we could not miss an opportunity of gaining a coloured German Shepherd who could enter conformation shows,
BUT who also happens to carry the 'White Gene'.


Our plans are to not only do 'Conformation Shows' but to do 'Obedience' when he is ready for the 'Obedience Ring' 

Although this man has been x rayed and tattooed and who has been put onto the German Shepherd Council breed scheme by Whyteridge Kennels, he does come
from the 'Older Style' of the German Shepherd, he has a very square shape, straight legs, compared to a lot of imported dogs of 2009. 

So we do look at the show scene as exposure to what they were like around in the 1970's to 1980's, because that is what we have with Wootton Brutus Returns A-Z

  • Lacking in a face mask = (BUT acceptable in Breed Standard)  

     
  • Unusual markings = he has a ridge between his eyes. We have traced this particular trait from a Victorian Line from the Pre War days - Fairhaven Kennels carried this Trait

 

 
 

 

A Special 'Thank-You' to the German Shepherd Dog Council for allowing the 'old' Australian bred dogs to go onto the Breed Scheme to be Breed Surveyed, without that scheme in place the 'old' lines would be lost, and they were the foundation of the breed when the import band was in place for 40 odd years! 





With this man he is being promoted as a Obedience Dog throughout the Trial ring Whyteridge Kennels tend to hit the CD ring in the early part of 2010 with keeping in mind that Tracking and Endurance is also an option
